PCC Organising Committee Vacancies

Deadline for Expression of Interest – Friday 14 February 2020

Expressions of Interest are now invited from APM members who would like to play a pivotal role as a member of the Palliative Care Congress Organising Committee. Over the next 3 years, the appointment will cover the following commitments;

Vice Chair PCC 2021
Chair PCC 2022
Past Chair PCC 2023

The PCC Organising Committee is responsible for the successful delivery of the annual Palliative Care Congress (PCC) and reports to the APM Education Committee to ensure the Association’s educational strategy is being met. The PCC Organising Committee aims to ensure the educational needs of members and other professionals are met through the Conference Programme, the Call for Papers, which provides both oral and poster presentation opportunities, and the allocation of time for networking with colleagues.

The Organising Committee comprises a Chair, Vice Chair and other committee members. The role of the Vice Chair is to have one year working closely with the Chair before becoming Chair the following year and then Past Chair following that – to offer advice and support as required to the current Chair.

Title: Nursing Study Day
Date: 19 March 2020
Location: Telford International Centre

Information: This study day is designed for the nursing community, both generalist and specialist, as well as other professional colleagues, for example AHPs, caring for patients with palliative care needs and their carers across any setting. The Programme has specifically been designed to cover topical issues in palliative care, to empower the nursing community through increased awareness and creativity when caring for the patient. There will be opportunities for discussion, sharing of experience and networking. The study day will run alongside the main Congress and will allow the nursing community to attend either the specific nursing Programme or attend the main Congress sessions.
