The APM Juniors Committee are looking for a new Communications Coordinator! The Communications Coordinator is responsible for:
  • Running and developing the social media presence of the APMJ
  • Management of email correspondence
  • Promotion of APM and APMJ events via social media and email
  • Management of CRM
  • Management of APMJ Web Page

The APM Trainees Committee are looking to appoint a new Education and Training Representative to replace Sophia Ellis who will be stepping into the Committee Chair role in October. The Education and Training Representative contributes to the wider work of the APM Trainees committee including: ● Attendance at trainees’ committee meetings (up to 6 meetings per year) ● Preparation of Education report for trainees’ committee meetings, outlining: Forthcoming events by year; Summary of other work of education committee; Summary of updates from education committee (e.g. strategic planning, organisational updates, etc) ● Involvement in activities to involve and promote the work of the APM to trainees For further information and the nomination form click here.  The deadline for applications is the 10th September 2026.

The APM Trainees Committee are looking to appoint a new Education and Training Representative to...

The APM Clinical Quality Committee is looking for a new Trainee rep. The Clinical Quality Committee’ is an advisory committee to the Executive Board of the APM, on clinical quality matters. The committee aims to:
  • Encourage the use of data, such as dependency scores and outcome measures, to improve the quality of medical practice and explore their role in benchmarking the promotion of quality improvement activities including audit and service evaluation such as FAMCARE and the audit /QiP prize.
  • share intelligence relating to in Palliative Care and Medicine across the membership such as relevant national reports, NICE guidelines, Cochrane reviews etc.
  • support consultants who are young in post (first 5 years), that is, within the committee’s remit.
  • support processes and standards of medical appraisal and revalidation and will liaise with appropriate bodies including RCP, NHS England and Hospice UK.

The APM Education and Training Committee are recruiting for a new committee member to join the team. The Education and Training Committee is an advisory committee to the Council of the APM, co-ordinating the Association’s educational strategy and activities. The committee aims to ensure the educational needs of members and other professionals are met through a comprehensive education programme (face-to-face and virtual), the production of educational resources and signposting to external events.  The committee works in partnership with APM committees and other organisations to co-ordinate the quality and effectiveness of education. This is an effective and productive committee with lots of ideas for the future. We are keen to expand on our offering of high quality education to all members and harness the use of technology to assist busy clinicians in delivering education. Candidates with skills and enthusiasm in these areas would be particularly welcome. There are likely to be further opportunities coming up so if you are passionate about education and training, please get in touch to discuss whether you are interested now or in the future.
