Senior Clinicians – Making data count: what data do you need to collect in specialist palliative care and how can you best use it?
This event is part of the APM’s monthly webinar series
Date: Wednesday 2 July
Time: 12:30-1:30 PM
Title: Making data count: what data do you need to collect in specialist palliative care and how can you best use it?
Outline: Senior clinicians in palliative care are often in leadership roles and part of the senior management teams for hospices, community and hospital teams. There is increasing requirement for data in palliative care; within the NHS, through Hospice UK, for commissioners, ICBs and other regional and national partners. This data needs to support service development, demonstrate activity, accurately reflect overall provision of services, show population coverage, underpin reduction of inequities, illustrate complexity and outcomes … and more. This session will consider; what data is available where, and what data is needed to deliver to some of these objectives. It will reflect on how we can streamline and be efficient in data capture, reporting and use.
This session will be lead by Professor Fliss Murtagh, Hull York Medical School
