Our Awards
The Undergraduate Palliative Medicine Essay
Open to all UK and Ireland medical undergraduates who are students by the set closing date; the Undergraduate Palliative Medicine Essay invites them to craft a compelling essay on a specified subject, not exceeding 2000 words.
Winners receive a first prize of £250 and a second prize of £100.
Applications for the 2025 Undergraduate Essay Prize will open later in the year.
The Marlow Prize
The Marlow Prize
The Marlow Prize is in memory of a Palliative Medicine Consultant with a keen interest in research and contributed to the SCE who died in 2020.
The prize winner is chosen from the abstracts submitted to the Palliative Care Congress. The winner of this prize will have their full paper published in BMJSPC and their prize presented at the Palliative Care Congress.
