On joining and paying for your membership fee you will be given website access. Once you receive the notification via email you will be asked to enter your own personalised password.

How do I update the details on my membership record?
Your personal information can update via the membership portal. If you cannot find your link to the member portal, please email the Secretariat office.
What is my membership number?
Your membership number is available within the membership portal but the Secretariat office will also be able to provide this information.
How do I cancel my APM membership?
If you no longer wish to be a member of the APM, please email the APM Secretariat office.

There are 9 different levels of membership:
Full Membership
Consultants, Medical Directors and equivalents who hold an appointment, paid or unpaid, with a hospice or hospital unit, team or service in Great Britain or Ireland.
Full Membership with Reduced Subscription
Any doctors in a specialised training post or holding a specialty doctor, staff grade or associate specialist post within a hospital unit, team or service in Great Britain or Ireland.
Associate Membership
Overseas doctors and those who do not hold an appointment, paid or unpaid, with a hospice or hospital unit, team or service in Great Britain or Ireland.
Associate Membership Non Doctor – With Journals
Any Allied Health Professional either working in or interested in palliative care, registered with their Professional Governing body.
Associate Membership Non Doctor – Without Journals
Any Allied Health Professional either working in or interested in palliative care, registered with their Professional Governing body.
Associate Retired Membership
Any retired members.
Associate members do not have voting rights
Junior Doctor Membership
Open to Junior doctors with provisional or full GMC registration on one of the following categories: F1 or F2, Core Medical Trainee, Core Surgical Trainee, ACCS Trainee, GP Trainee, on a year out of training at any point in career prior to entry to specialist training. Junior members would be verified by GMC number.
Medical Student Membership
Open to all medical students at any recognised medical school in Great Britain & Ireland. Students of any year of study, including intercalating. Students would be required to register using a university email address.
Parental Leave
Open to full paying members who would like to continue their membership during their maternity, paternity or adoption leave. This reduced rate will be offered for one year, following a full years payment.
Why was my request to join the website rejected?
If you are not a member of the APM we cannot approve you for online access.
